One thing I have learnt is to partition the disk and put all data on the
second partition. That way if you need to start again the data is always
there.
I did mean to do the same with My Documents but never got round to it.

Couldn't you just back up your FoxPro and other data and reformat the 
hard drive? Then re-install Windows, the programs and data? We were 
doing that every six months anyway because of virus and adware back in 
the day.
