I never did really like dbc's. Nothing but trouble in the past. But that's
not the reason. I would like to be able to copy paste data from one machine
to another easily. I don't think SQL can do that.

You could us XML as your data storage and not have anything to do with
a db Engine.   All a function of how much data your dealing with.
Small environments are perfect for XML as the data storage.

But back to the idea of a free table.  What benefit are you trying to
achieve with your system when you use it?

Are you use to tossing data from one container to another with a diff
name for a special purpose?  Or did you not like the concept of the
DBC or it got in the way with the way you did things?
