Ah, sorry. Kim and I both share in the responsibilities of "teaching" them though Kim probably takes the lions share. We also have a "home schooling" school that's close to us where they can take classes a la carte. My older son is taking Latin, Philosophy and English Lit. My younger son is taking Creative Writing and Chess.
We take an approach called "unschooling" which is different than what most home schooling parents use. Most parents have brought school to their house. Some even have mini-classrooms in their homes. We've gone a different route and all I can say is that it has really worked. My 13y/o son just tested at the 13th grade level, and my 9 year old tested two years above his level. Sorry. Drifting off topic. ;) Can't get my sons to want to learn programming, VFP, Python, or otherwise. My older son took a liking to Alice (http://www.alice.org/) but lost interest in it. He's really good at the GIMP though! -Kevin CULLY Technologies, LLC MB Software Solutions General Account wrote: > No no no...not who teaches them computers....who teaches their schooling > to them? You said they're home-taught, right? _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
