President Bush feels that a free fall into bankruptcy would be 
devastating to the US and you call him a boob.  Seems to me that the 
so-called experts agree with that position as do most rational human 
beings.  I think that he would prefer that the companies and one of the 
main reasons for this current state of affairs get together and make the 
concessions necessary to put these companies back in a position to 
compete.  If they aren't willing to do that, then an orderly method to 
preserve these companies would be far preferred to chaos.  That said, no 
matter what happens, there is no guarantee that any of these 3 companies 
will come out the far side of this intact.
