I met Ceil at Whilfest and had no idea she was fighting melanoma. It is
very sad. I lost my best friend and business partner to lung cancer in
2000. Since I have spent my entire life in the sun I have had many skin
cancers removed. Same with my two sisters.

It seems to me that cancer is one thing that can take a life
unexpectedly and before it is time to go.

Many cancers are treatable if caught in time, so you need to get a
checkup if you suspect you may have something. If you have anything
funny on your body, for your sake and the sake of your friends and loved
ones; go to a skin doctor and have it checked out. I go for checkups
once a year and they always find something.

If you have a sore that doesn't heal, an irregular shaped mole or
freckle that has different colors, or a crusty growth on your forehead;
go to the doctor. If you have an unexplained pain in your back or
stomach, go to the doctor.

Keep in mind that if you suspect you have any form of cancer, go see a
doctor. Cancer is bad stuff and the quicker it is diagnosed, the better
chances of survival you have.

I am very sorry to hear about Ceil and Take care!
