We've got a VFP9SP1 app here that uses free tables, and there's one table
that seems to get corrupted quite frequently. The code was retooled so
the procedure that wrote to the table did so a bit cleaner by replacing a
lot of append/replace commands with direct INSERT INTOs. We think that
should help. But there's a line in the code that says "FLUSH IN MyTable"
and I hadn't seen that before. I confess I've heard folks talk of FLUSH
here in the past but I hadn't used it myself. Some folks say that FLUSH
definitely helps, but is there any reason where FLUSH would HURT or CAUSE
ISSUES? I'm on the mindset to leave it alone unless someone has had vast
experiences with it causing corruption problems for them (...which I doubt
it the case, but this post is basically a shout across the virtual office
for affirmation).
