Some nights ago on cable a scientist explained temperature had risen 1/2 a degree centigrade. He said it's not much, that in other times temp has risen way more. But the problem was that it had risen in the last 150 years. It's not the net rise but the rise rate what's worrying them. You see, trees (and all life that depends on them) and plants can not move that fast, 10 degrees centigrades over millions of years is ok because vegs will be able to migrate to colder places, but 1/2 degree in 150 yrs will not give them time to relocate, so they die. --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/alternative text/plain (text body -- kept) text/html --- _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
