Ken,

I have the MX record on my domain sending all my domain Email to the 
Gmail system.  My system downloads the mail from their server so I have 
it locally or I can access it via browser.  There is no charge for this 
service.  It's been some time since I set it up so I can't easily tell 
you how I did it but if you are interested - it is pretty straightforward 
to do.
