Yeah just like the stream of people who started out trying to disprove the
Biblical account of the Resurrection and became believers as a result.

What did they make up? The creation of the earth, the dawn of
mankind, the thrashing of an enemy, the loss of a holy city, the
healing of sick, the shouts of biblical prophets against the dim of
citizens of the day?

What if they were told how the Universe was created but their
comprehension level was not able to pass the story on in verbal
tradition for thousands of years? We take for granted our level of
technology but back then it was not quite as easy.

The bible, new and old testaments, is a history book that has been
influenced by it's leaders over time, much like history books in say
Russia have been influenced by it's leaders as well.

What we are left with has been manipulated by man. Nobody disputes this.

When you dive into the prophets you get your character development
with respect to a time frame when they were alive. We treat Greek
Tragedies much the same way.

So it was all made up? No I have to disagree with that.

Did the Holy Spirit come to the prophets and get them to foretell what
Jesus was going to be? I think so. Brilliant people get visions and
make great works or art, create chemical compounds that fight cancers,
or envision a new look for a building/structure, etc.....
