That is because the Catholic system of sin and redemption is flawed. Martin Luther had a little to say about it. The just shall live by faith.

You know the vast majority of Americans are Roman Catholic, so it should not surprise you that I was raised as one. But even in catechism classes I got bored (some of your longish posts remind me of that ;c) ) and after communion I avoided the bore of going to church as much as possible. Now here's one for you (used to worry my grandma sick with this one). Babies are pretty much innocents, and right after baptism the original sin has been cleansed. So we might say babies in that state are as free of sin as can be. Now comes a bastard that kills a couple of those babies right after they have been baptized. According to Catolicism those babies go straight to heaven and the killer will probably go to hell. So the question is, why aren't the Catholic parents of those babies glad for them, why do they hate the poor killer that has placed his immortal soul in danger in order to send those babies straight to heaven? Why do Catholic authorities think of this as a crime to be avoided? My answer, Catholics don't really believe and are not willing to confront the ultimate consequences of their belief system. --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/alternative text/plain (text body -- kept) text/html --- [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
