Hi Nick,

We have one VFP9 app that has been running under Ultra VNC for about 5
years. It is used to get branch reports and print them at head office.

The app is in a few branches. We connect via a VPN client. Then we connect
to the branch server with Ultra VNC. Click on the app icon in the branch and
use the app as if we were in the branch. The only difference between the
branch and head office is that while in Ultra VNC, we print to the local
head office printer.

At the same client, we also use terminal services and use Remote Desktop to
connect to the branches. In this case, we run the VFP app as soon as we get
a connection and the reports are printed at head office.

A caveat - if the modem at either end is flaky, the connection could drop.
In the case of this client, the head office modem failed and the client was
not able to connect to the branches. In this case, the branch had to run the
reports and fax them to head office.

Definitely doable!!
