Which is why you never install anything in the ...\program files\.... 
branch anymore.

I've seen quite a few IT groups start standardizing on creating a 
completely separate folder branch for installing applications (e.g. 
..\company_apps\... or ...\direct_apps\...). It seems more and more folks 
are beginning to ignore MS edicts. This is a GOOD thing.
