It's plain his head is bowing in the direction of the King's outstretched
hand, but from the camera shot you actually can't see the King's hand
through Obama's arse, so the point about the kiss is technically debatable.

The bow is not debatable and it's in the same category as the kiss.
Shocking, stupid, wrong. And consequential on levels few appreciate. Sarkozy
actually laughs out loud when he sees it. Abdullah's expression is also
palpable.

He was not badly advised... the protocol is well established and there is no
excuse whatsoever for it: but this is actually a very consistent thing for
him to do, all things we know about him considered. This was his decision.
It was a willful bow, for Obama probably a meaningful bow. He did NOT bow to
the Queen of England, not once. He gave her an iPod with his speeches on it.
I'd love to know what he gave the Saudi King, besides public subservience.

As with the sweeping grab of power from the private sector in which he is
engaged, there is something deeper going on here. It's not just some stuff
he's doing 'cause his advisors told him to do it. This wasn't a translation
blunder like Clinton's "Overcharge!" button.

I still can't believe how blind to the obvious most people are is about this
guy.
