Silverlight is wired for dealing with data in datacentric apps that
the owner wants highly polished and video or animation is necessary.

Alan put up a link that does a great job expanding how easy you can
manipulate your displayed functionality, error handling, warnings and
more. I did half of what was presented and was not aware of some
other capabilities that i saw presented. I brought those up at an
interview yesterday and maybe that will be a hook for my new job?

Silverlight is getting better by the release, just as Visual Studio
has over the decades.

Just because your favorite tool has seen it's day in the sun and is
now in the retirement home, dismissing all new replacements that the
same company produces is foolish. Products some and go because of a
host of reasons.
