My observation is that the government fears anything it can't control, and
at this point in the game they certainly can't control the internet. This
whole concept of enforcing some sort of 'cybersecurity' ( I'm giggling even
as I write that, what is this, 1990? ) smells like fear to me.

professionals.   Another way for the government to make money.
