"Nobody realizes cap and trade is a tax - and it's a big one."
- - -

Rep. Dingell, asking Gore to comment on which is better, carbon tax or cap
and trade. The congenital charlatan -- who has never met a pig he would not
poke, or a bottle of snake oil he would not sell and gleeful chug himself --
is naturally in favor of both, asserting (as he is wont to do, without any
facts but nevertheless with an air of authority) that countries that have
been most successful in combating climate change have done both.

Which begs the question: How do they measure success?

And why do they let this sham-wow infomercial fraud "testify" on things
about which he knows jack diddly, like he's anything but a spurned
politician taking out his vengeance on the country that handed his dream job
to somebody else?

Obviously, judging by the rest of his answer (listen carefully!), this whole
thing is about global governance and a harmonized global tax system, before
it's ever about "fixing" the environment.

The last thing they want is for average Americans to realize it's a
tax---and a big one!---until it's too late, and the global elite have a
direct tube attached to every American's wallet to siphon all the monopoly
money Obama is pumping into it with the wave of his executive wand.

Think about it. The climate is changing, so we have to tax you a lot more
than we are now. No, we don't have to tell you what we're actually going to
do with the revenue. You wouldn't understand anyway. It's the principle of
the thing. We don't want you to have so much money that you do bad things
that hurt the environment. You know what we mean. Drive cars. Enjoy life and
freedom. All scientists 100% agree we need to confiscate your money from you
now or we're all going to die in the next couple of years. Hurry, hand us
your wallet ...NOW!

That's the core of the argument. There is never any mention of what the
funds will *do* to address the so-called problem (Well, besides study it,
educate people about it, and other useless political gestures), nor is any
dissenting opinion on the so called consensus that there is a problem
allowed.

I won't even mention that fixing the environment of the planet is not an
enumerated power of the federal government under the Constitution. Who would
hear it, in these heady days of the first black president?

We are being sold a bogus bill of goods in global warming and economic
"stimulus" that has already totally eclipsed spending on anything else in
the history of the republic by an order of magnitude or more, including
foreign wars. The actions they are taking have already effectively
bankrupted us for generations to come. And they're only getting warmed up.

I keep wondering when people are going to wake up and get a clue.
