I was indeed, alcohol doesn't much interest me except for cleaning injection sites or as a cooking ingredient as in "Beer Battered Shrimp". Beer the shrimp well enough, or beer anything well enough and you won't have to kill them/it. Should they/it still be alive at the onset of their beer battering they/it will obligingly die on their own given sufficient beer. Beer killed ALL of my male relatives on my mom's side.
