Do you mean God was on their side till they forgot the rules so he slapped them around till they got it again? That Jesus was sent to slap around the Pharisees because they were getting lost in their own egos and forgetting the spirit of the Law? God sees that the spread of of his message is not moving and has to call another Prophet to to listen to God record the message and pass it on to others. Muhammad's divine revelations in AD 610 are what I am talking about. I don't have time to go into Hindu as well as Olive skinned religions to restate the consistency of how God selects a man and their relationship elevates them to Prophet. It is never the same story! It is always God interacting with local people and setting the story for others to hear. I don't thik that God cares which story you want to follow. He does to have you follow the tenants of one of them. Who knows maybe He will even start a long conversation with someone new to help us today revisualize a new version of the same plot line.
