Hi Helio!

I have Ubuntu 8.10 on a P II 400 with 384 meg and about 25 gig Hard
drive. It is slow, but it does work. I would say a P III of 750 or
better with 512 meg would be fairly good.

The Ubuntu 9.04 one I set up a day ago is a P IV 1.7 with 1.5 Gb and 60
Gb. It is just wonderful for most stuff. File browsing is slow, but that
is because there are *so* many files. I have 7 windows open now on two
screens and it is just humming along.

The interface is bright and clear. Oh, wait, I just got new glasses :-)

Regards,

Pete
