It's perfectly fine, of course, for the White House to put out its own version of events -- but is it right to do so by preventing actual reporters from covering something? (Even something like a pickup basketball game). Do Obama White House officials think their media coverage isn't flattering enough? Is the goal to ultimately replace the pesky photographers who film what they want to and not what they're told to (not to mention the annoying reporters who ask uncomfortable questions about, say, detainee policy and bank bailouts)? - - - The One shouldn't have to deal with pesky reporter questions. He made this clear on his first or second day when he dressed down a reporter daring to ask him a question about his conspicuous hiring of a lobbyist at the DoD despite his adamant no-lobbyist hiring policy during an "informal" pow-wow. Obviously if they don't listen, they'll have to be trained, and worst case scenario, he can hire his own press corps. He's too big to fail, his policies are too important to debate -- really, aren't we beyond debate on just about everything? Isn't the verdict on all important questions in, and shouldn't we all just try to support everything he's doing for our own good? C'mon people, it's not like we live in a free republic or anything. - Bob _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
