Once again, if Bush was wrong to run deficits, why is Obama right to do the same thing on steroids?
If it was wrong for Bush to shift unaccountable power to the executive, why is Obama doing it even more aggressively OK? If it was wrong for Bush to touch hot button issues like gay marriage and abortion, why is it righteous for Obama? If it was wrong for Bush to double the deficit in 8 years, why is it OK for Obama to do it again in a mere 2? If it was wrong for Bush to act partisan, why can Obama joke in a partisan way with impunity even in official presidential functions? If it was wrong for Bush to get us into a "quagmire" in Iraq (a quagmire, by the way, that isn't), why is it OK for Obama to try to impose the "successful" Iraq model on, of all place, Afghanistan---the quicksand of empires? Even Bush was smart enough to move the battle to a different theater. But not this know it all. You Obama voters got a lot of 'splainin' to do when your grand kids ask why they aren't allowed to see any of their income and have to do jobs the government tells them to do, not what they want to do. - Bob > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On > Behalf Of Bob Calco > Sent: Wednesday, June 10, 2009 1:13 PM > To: 'ProFox Email List' > Subject: RE: [OT]What next - total control over everything? > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On > > Behalf Of James Roark(The Dogstar Group) > > Sent: Wednesday, June 10, 2009 12:43 PM > > To: ProFox Email List > > Subject: [OT]What next - total control over everything? > > > > > http://content.usatoday.com/communities/theoval/post/2009/06/67939111/1 > > > > President Obama has appointed Washington lawyer Kenneth Feinberg > > <http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/11/business/11pay.html?hp> to a new > > post > > with broad discretion over executive pay. > > The Administration will call for 'say-on-pay' legislation, long > > supported by President Obama, that would give the SEC the authority > to > > require non-binding annual say-on-pay votes for all public companies. > > > > The gubmint invasion on all things to do with free enterprise. > > I wonder what Mr. Feinberg's salary is? > > Don't expect any "investigative reporting" articles in the NYT on that > subject. > > It's not like Obama's "czars" are cabinet posts requiring Congressional > approval and oversight or anything. > > - Bob > > > > > > > > > --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- > > multipart/alternative > > text/plain (text body -- kept) > > text/html > > --- > > [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
