In my system the relevent directory would be:

/home/leland/.mozilla/firefox/82a42b0y.default

Firefox keeps all it setting in this directory on my system. Yours would be
similar,
except the alpha numeric part preceding the ".default" would be different in
your
directory tree.

If I do a "dir" of /home/leland/.mozilla/firefox/82a42b0y.default on my system,
I see a
directory named chrome. I think this is where firefox store the setting for my
extensions. I haven't upgraded to the latest version of firefox, so I don't
know if I've
have an extension in /home/leland/.mozilla/firefox/82a42b0y.default/chrome that
the
upgraded version of fixfoxe can't handle or not. Anyway, change this chrome
directory to
chrome.backup and try booting firefox.

Regards,
