Hi Malcolm I have already done that and like you was impressed especially with the instruction video that is available. As I said its the price which is the stumbling block. I can't charge it on to the client. It will be a charge against there software maintenance payments. So the VFP Tab Menu looks good but it doesn't seem to have been worked on lately. The first change I wanted to make was to make the Tabs larger to accommodate more prompt text. It appears to be a many directive *:Barsize but how to get that to work is not immediately obvious. Hence the need to look for advice. Is there another better option, is there a way of getting help with the VFP tab menu option or do I take the plunge with the ARG product. Another problem is that my wife who is Russian advises me to have nothing to do with a Russian company. /Grin

The product was visually very impressive (gorgeous!) and the author/developer very responsive to bugs and feature requests. The documentation lagged the product's capabilities, but I found I could figure out what I needed to do by reverse engineering the demos. While not perfect, I would give this vendor my highest recommendation. Why don't you try out the free demo and see if it fits your needs? Cheers, Malcolm <snipped> Been asked by a client if I can update his application to make it more modern. Showed him what I had seen at the Prague conference and he very much likes the Idea of a ribbon bar. Like Office 2007. Research found the VFPX Tab menu project and the ARG command bars project. Advantages and disadvantages so far are Tab Menu is free ARG is 120 dollars. Tab Menu is sparse on documentation whilst ARG seem to be documented much better. I am asking for comments, suggestions and other areas to look. </snipped> [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/a57fa4cf19531343a2ee11b57db8e3af04c...@server.peterhartcomputers.local ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
