It depends on what kind of subscription you had. The Action Pack and some of 
those other programs have expiring licenses, etc. but MDSN Universal (what I 
had) lives forever. While I had some of my keys, there were some others I was 
missing and needed. I posted a message in the MSDN customer service area and 
got back this reply:

  I found that too to be the case when my subscription lapsed for a couple
of months last year.

  Which BTW, your not allowed to use any of the keys if your subscription is
expired.
