I thought O-2007 was a good release for: 1. People who never used it before. How many of those are there? 2. Utterly clueless "Users." A considerable group. For people who actually knew what they were doing, it meant completely relearning the whole f'ing thing. That damn ribbon is a huge PITA. For many of us in here, it was just the kick we needed to say "I'm done" and move to OO for good. Why couldn't M$ have a "Clueless Mode" for the above two groups, and a "Got a Clue" mode for expert users?
