Hello there Rob,

Thanks for the continued follow-up. To answer your questions...

Yes - my Tech guy actually tried multiple different PDF output options
on the client's system(Adobe PDF, and I think the other was Cute PDF,
and even a 3rd one) - but the problem always occurred no matter which
option was selected.

Agreed - if it happens to 1 report - it would happen to them all!

For your last question. An FYI for starters - I didn't program the full
system - although it is now my job to support the systems. And, there is
one routine that is called - a separate Screen/Form - which allows the
user to select whether they want to Preview the Report vs. Printing it
(and also selecting the Printer). However, that being said - the problem
seems to occur AFTER that routine is called (and that screen is called
from within the reporting programs - and then later on in those programs
the REPORT FORM command is executed) and AFTER the REPORT FORM command
is executed. So - to change EVERY single program to execute a command to
Reset the Default Path (include commands prior to the REPORT FORM
command to Save the path into a variable) - would be a HUGE amount of
work!

However, I have prepared a test on one of the reporting programs
(Invoice Printing) - to save the Path and then reset it after the report
is printed. But, I am just waiting for my Tech guy to test it (he can't
test it yet since he is currently downloading the clients full system
down to our server).

Thanks,
-K-

Hi Kurt,
Re:Only one system - may well be versions of driver for PDF or some
other
dll dependencies.

I can understand that it would be happening to ALL reports - because the
problem of changing the path is the same for all!

What I can't understand though is, why do you not have just one
publisher /
report routine? You'd only need to do the code changes in one place
then!
Robbo.

But - what is strange - why would it do it ONLY on this particular
system? The reason I ask/say that - is that MANY of our systems have
almost IDENTICAL code...
