My recommendation for you is to have INSTALLDIR (set up under the General Information (Step 1)) default to the standard [ProgramFilesDir]\MyAppDir, or if you want it to something else just hardcode it. I would not leave out the a drive. Then under the Dialogs (under step 4) make sure the Destination Folder dialog is set up so the user can select the folder they want to install it in. >> Now when the app runs mostly when I open a form with a activex date control the installer run and creates the directory F:\MyAppDir.
