For me firefox works fine 99 percent of the time until I close the browser, 
which then a window will pop up telling me firefox has crashed and to report 
the problem. So it only crashes after I decide I'm done using that session.

You should be able to just kill the firefox process when that happens.

It seems to crash on me when I'm using java-based photo upload modules, but not 
always.  I think it's a memory issue.
