I've found the command line kill utility from Sysinternals does a pretty good 
job of getting rid of processes that Task Manager sometimes chokes on.

It is totally a memory issue, and NO I cannot kill the process.  From
TM nor Task Info.  It is just stuck @ 350 - 550 meg of wasted space.

So I close all apps and reboot.

Not for long.  I change browsers!
