Personally I think his college records and Harvard Law Review articles will show there is no way on earth he authored "Dreams from My Father," a key component of the popular view that Obama is some kind of poetic wizard. I don't care about the rest, though his refusal to release medical information is ironic since his health care reform bill would make it mandatory for citizens to reveal their health care records to the government. I think it matters a lot whether Bill Ayers ghost wrote his signature memoir for him. Jack Cashill has demonstrated the dramatic textual similarities between Dreams and Ayers' Fugitive Days, and provided a lot of circumstantial evidence to suggest Ayers had the time, motive and ability to help Obama when his contract was going south. The scant available samples of Obama's original writing prior to Dreams seem to suggest that he's a lousy thinker and a lousy writer, contrary to the myth Dreams established that he's some kind of genius. He lied about his relationship with dangerous kook Bill Ayers, as well as his relationship with "Black Liberation theology" wing-nut Rev. Wright. This matters a lot. "Birds of a feather..." The insistence none of this matters is IMHO why it doesn't matter.
