If you are of the mindset that Crystal Sucks! RS is no better.

You can do basic reports easily on RS, in crystal you can make them
look better. RS does a great job with standard reports as well as
Cross Tabs.

RS will give you all the drill down you want, so that is not an issue,
it is just a requery away.

RS will pre-run reports and dispatch them to members when you decide,
so if 5 peole get the same report and it is a bear to produce from a
data POV, you can do it before they get in and they have an email to
reference the finished product. This is the primary reason to jump
into RS from my POV.

In my case it was regional sales directors that got sales data week in
year values across the last 3 years by customer.

Your first edit a report in RS will have you frustrated! Intuitive
was forgotten when they designed this product. :)
