Hi gang
I have a client reporting CSV files appear as XLS on webmail despite not
wanting them to. I create CSV files and they are emailed.
I tried it here and got these results.
If they come into email clients including outlook they are CSV ok. If I
check in webmail with a machine without excel on it also fine. BUT if I
check in webmail with a machine with excel on it, the save choice is XLS
which is neither desired, or correct as excel cant open it anyway. I changed
the file options in windows to make CSV open in notepad but that didn't make
any odds.
Does anyone know of a cure for this. I did see mention of the decimal
separator being a cure but I don't think this is the case here.
TIA
Allen
