1. I don't accept the premise. Some people hate us, some love us, some are
indifferent. The idea that "the world" hates us was pimped by leftists
during George Bush's presidency. It was a lie repeated so often it became
true, during a time when France and Germany happened to be governed by
leftist jackasses with financial interests in Iraq. Interestingly, France
and Germany hated George Bush so much, they threw out the leftist bums and
elected conservatives while Bush was still in office. So it's no more true
that "the world" hates George Bush and "loves" Obama than that "the world"
hates Obama and "loved" George Bush. Where is all that nuance you love to
talk about on every other subject?

2. It's obvious after nine months that other than having a very strong
preference for hiring lunatics with stellar socialist/communist resumes to
his administration and expanding the power of the executive well beyond
Constitutional limits, Obama himself doesn't have a clue what he's trying to
do. He's like a dog chasing a car, wouldn't know what to do with it if he
caught it. Look at the health care bill. Oh, wait, there are three or four
of them floating around, none of them by Obama. Look at Afghanistan, the war
we "had to win" -- now he isn't really looking for "victory," is dithering
on an urgent troop request, and may pull out altogether. Or may not. What a
leader!
