What do you want for nothing, a rubber biscuit? Society today gives away a massive amount of data for jsut about ANYTHING you do. Go to the grocery store, Kroger, and flash the company card, Kroger, to earn price reductions in gas at the pumps outside. You just gave away a massive amount of personal data about who you are. Just to save a few pennies on a gallon of gas. You text between friends? http://www.textsfromlastnight.com/ Did you pay for something at a store or online with a debit or credit card? Point I am making is that we give out to much information. Those who are responsible for safeguarding it do try real hard to maintain the walls and keep data secure. At least the ones who I have worked with. Banks, Health care centers, to name two in the industry that has to safeguard data. So for those os us who MAKE software that others will rely on what are we doing to make it hard for the black hats out there? -- Stephen Russell Sr. Production Systems Programmer SQL Server DBA Web and Winform Development Independent Contractor Memphis TN 901.246-0159 _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
