The great irony of Al Gore is in 2003 he accused Bush of falsely committing the US to a costly policy for no real reason. "He prayed on our fears!" he screamed. Then he promptly went about one-upping Dubya, by embracing full-throated the over-hyped myth of anthropogenic global warming. It's like some dark, cynical part of his psyche embraced the idea of defrauding the public to become a powerful person. It could have been any topic, but this one was riper for demagoguery than any other. He already proved during the NAFTA debate he'd swing whatever way the winds blew, and sell any snake oil that would improve his approval ratings. The publicized emails from CRU are a kind of confirmation of the selective manipulation of data to dupe the public that many accused Bush of doing vis a vis Iraqi WMDs. If the biggest dummy on earth could make up intelligence to commit people to a $800 bln war and kill thousands of people, why, a smarty-pants like Al Gore should be able to dupe the entire world with bogus hockey sticks (take that, Sarah Palin!) into wasting trillions of dollars and costing millions of lives. Seriously, where's the "body count" ticker for Africans starving because we diverted use of corn to "green fuel" instead of food? And by the way, just to be fair, I note this was also a Bush initiative, though the left is loathe to admit Bush did anything for alternative energy. - Publius > > > http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2009/11/18/al-gore-earths-interior-extremely-hot-several-million-degrees > [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
