I haven't seen an api like google does. I think Steve is right. You will
have to use all the links in  the chain from MS and ESRI to do maps. I'm
about to signup for a Silverlight class for just that purpose.

I think that you are referring to the Silverlight maps via Bing?  They
are way cool on the desktop but not sure what you are going after?
