The Indian head of the UN climate change panel defended his position
yesterday even as further errors were identified in the panel's
assessment of Himalayan glaciers.

Dr Rajendra Pachauri dismissed calls for him to resign over the
Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change’s retraction of a
prediction that Himalayan glaciers could disappear by 2035.

But he admitted that there may have been other errors in the same
section of the report, and said that he was considering whether to
take action against those responsible.

“I know a lot of climate sceptics are after my blood, but I’m in no
mood to oblige them,” he told The Times in an interview. “It was a
collective failure by a number of people,” he said.

After how many dumb "errors" does an "expert" finally get called a "dumbass"?

I guess when "expert economists" finally discover an adverb besides
"unexpected" in relation to bad news during a Democrat administration,
we'll finally get to call these "climate experts" what they really
are.

Snake oil salesmen.

"It ought never to be forgotten, that a firm union of this country,
under an efficient government, will probably be an increasing object
of jealousy to more than one nation of Europe; and that enterprises to
subvert it will sometimes originate in the intrigues of foreign
powers, and will seldom fail to be patronized and abetted by some of
them. Its preservation, therefore ought in no case that can be
avoided, to be committed to the guardianship of any but those whose
situation will uniformly beget an immediate interest in the faithful
and vigilant performance of the trust." [Federalist Papers #59]
