With the battery dying for the second time in a week (actually, five days),
I'm thinking about going this way. As near as I can tell, all it takes for
this thing to work is for me to put it in my window and plug it into my
car's lighter. (Which would be the first thing I'd ever even use it for,
since I don't smoke and don't let people smoke in my car.)

Any preferences/suggestions for this? Or is it a 'you get what you pay
for' kind of thing? I checked out the link that Jean posted, as well as
looking for trickle chargers on Amazon.com
(http://www.amazon.com/s/qid=1264618830/ref=sr_st?keywords=solar+trickle+charger&rs=15684181&page=1&rh=n%3A15684181%2Cn%3A%2115690151%2Ck%3Asolar+trickle+charger&bbn=15684181&sort=reviewrank_authority).
