I just got back from one of the AT&T stores here in Abilene,
Texas. I decided to go with a 2 year family plan, and a
couple of 3GS Iphones with 16GB memory. As a new mobile
phone customer, I qualified for the $199.00 special pricing
for my Iphone, but my wife, who currently had an AT&T mobile
phone, did not qualify; because, she had more that four
months remain on her current contract. Therefore, my wife's
Iphone 3GS was $399.00. I'm sure there is a logical
explanation for her not qualifying the the $199.00 price
during the upgrade, but I'm having trouble seeing it. LOL

My wife, who had an AT&T mobile phone, was able to transfer
her current mobile phone number and information off her AT&T
phone to her new Iphone G3S.

We also took advantage of AT&T's bundle package, which
included carrying cases, car charging system, and Applecare
in the event the phone is ever destroyed, lost, or stolen,
etc. The bill going out the door was:

For my Iphone: $199.00
Wife's Iphone: 399.00
My black carry case 49.97
Wife's white carry case 49.99
Misc & Applecare 2 X 69.00 138.00
Sales Tax @ 8.25% 68.97

Total $904.93

The estimated monthly cost for the service was estimated to
cost about $120.00 per Iphone 3GS. Thanks for all the help,
information, and opinions. I'll let you know how AT&T's
network and Apple's Iphones work out for me.

Regards,

LelandJ
