Find in our Constitution anywhere where the "two party system" is either implicitly or explicitly authorized. You can't. In fact, the whole point of the bicameral legislature and separation of powers was to PREVENT, not ensure, a majority faction. The extra-constitutional "two party system," such as it is, has to the contrary guaranteed at any point in time in any one branch a majority faction. And when more than one branch are in the control of the same majority faction, they move the nation further away from the original idea of a limited constitutional republican form of government. - Publius > > A+ > jml > [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
