And why is that? Because of costly benefits entitlements negotiated by
unions in the 70s, whose contracts are still being "mostly" honored (I
know, I have two uncles who are continuing to benefit from them today)
that have made it increasingly cost prohibitive to employ American
labor in the auto industry.
