I guess nothing. The political spectrum is a continuum so you cannot say someone is leftist, just that he is to the left of someone/someposition and to the right of someone/someposition. As for "liberal" applied to "leftist", it implies there are "leftist-liberal" and "leftist-republican", just stupid. So as usual when you analize Peteys words, you are left with a pile of dung.
