Speaking of smart phones, there are a number of offering beginning to catch up to the iPhone; although, I don't think there are any currently better or even comparable to the iPhone. Particularly interesting is Google's Nexus One. Hardware seems to be pretty decent, and I think it will be supported on networks other than just AT&T, but AT&T now offers a plan for the Nexus One, (eg see link below)
The Nexus One runs the Android OS, which is based on a special distribution of the Linux kernel, specifically for mobile devices. Java is the primary development application in the Android OS. Google, like Apple, now has an app store with a growing number of application being made available by developers targeting the Nexus One and other mobile devices featuring the Android OS. http://www.mercurynews.com/bay-area-news/ci_14687075 http://code.google.com/android/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_%28operating_system%29 Regards, LelandJ On 03/25/2010 11:30 AM, Jean Laeremans wrote: > On Thu, Mar 25, 2010 at 6:24 PM, Stephen Russell<[email protected]> > wrote: > >> iPhone does better I believe. >> >> > The Nokia doesn't break it off but it's a royal pain in the ass on a > small screen > > A+ > jml > [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
