I bet you drink about 6 diet cokes every evening don't you?
Or koolaide..

This is german koolade

helps you to deal with seeing your world sent offshore and watching your
friends and neighbors lose everything..

Hopefully I'm wrong, but I have a feeling this is just the eye of the
hurricane and history will show this as being worse then the great
depression.

a guy read my blog, or a comment a long time ago.
believe his name was brad zollone or something like that.

his comment was that the next few years are going to be very rocky, so
lets look at it.
I'm virtually out of work, so apparently are you and even pete.
from what I gather ed left self employment for a sweeter offer and
possibly because the work for independents was drying up.

most of the independents (builders, etc., not software) have seen their
work dry up down here in central texas

The pecking order to me seems to be, those like you and me that were
making in excess of 75,000 a year with no time were hiring all our work
done such as pool service, yard mowing, etc..
this kept the independents going.

now that we are no longer working, the independents work is drying up
which means our towns, etc. will see their sales tax, etc. halved in a
few years if things don't turn around.

When this happens the town governments will be shut down because people
cannot work for free or iou's.

I know a lot don't believe it will happen, but if you've ever read
mish's global economic analysis, you will realize that its already
happening to a lot of our biggest cities..

and all this because people do not want to come to grip with the fact
that sending our jobs offshore and offering h1'bs over here a way not to
pay taxes is destroying the funds necessary to keep our country running,
so yeah, a few beers a night that while trying to ponder the meaning of
life is not unacceptable to me.

Besides as Ed can probably tell you if he's been in san antonio for very
long, it is the national pasttime down in this part of the country.
