It is the method of enforcement that people are objecting to. It is the
'show your papers' for no reason that ought to concern you.

It's both feeble and nothing like what happened in Germany.  Let me 
attempt to explain this to you, although I'm not sure if you are clever 
enough to understand it.  The individuals (Jews) targeted by Hitler and 
the Nazi party were citizens of the country which sought to not only 
remove them but to exterminate them.  In the United States, and make no 
mistake the United States has laws to do exactly what AB 1070 is 
designed to do, Arizona is attempting to remove individuals that have 
broken the law in order to be present in this country.  There is no gray 
area here, these people have broken a law and, as such, need to be 
returned to their country of origin.

Take a look at how Mexico treats those that cross into their country 
without legal permission and I think that you might have a different 
opinion about this.

And, to add to your research, take a look at the bill signed in 1996 by 
one Bill Clinton that extends the ability of the States to cooperate 
with the Federal government in enforcing the U.S. immigration policy.
