I'm not sure what stuff you guys are smoking. If there is a single company in the whole world that could be absolutely said to be untrustworthy it is Microsoft. These are the guys that "hampered" Oracle's ODBC driver (or gave special advantage to SQL Serv ODBC) to make themselves look good. These are the guys that got caught tracking info from PCs. These are the guys that got caught bypassing the "turn off auto updates" feature of their own software. And there's a lot more than that.
And for some reason you think their "security" products can be trusted? Wow. Just... wow. I've been using ZA as well for many years. But since I haven't been forced to go to Windows Vista or 7 yet, I may not have hit your problems. But it's interesting that a "watchdog" software package would suddenly start having problems in these later versions of Windows. -Charlie At 02:47 AM 5/25/2010, Alan Bourke wrote: >These days I would just install MSE and not bother about any other AV or >software firewall, to be honest. >-- > Alan Bourke > alanpbourke (at) fastmail (dot) fm > > [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
