The liberals hate Sarah Palin for this statement but when Obama issues a directive to drill on all coastlines he gets a pass. Go figure.
Now he has issued another directive this morning to stop all permits for the next six months because of the Gulf blowout. Facts are coming out that British Petroleum was taking shortcuts and bypassing safety techniques which led to the inability to prevent the blowout from occurring. Government officials were compliant in allowing the safety bypasses. Finally, the fed environmental officials want to do a study of how to cleanup the coastline before issuing permits for work to proceed. The governor of Louisiana was in a tirade yesterday saying he needs to do something now before any more oil gets into the marsh land along the coast. In the meantime four fishermen have gotten sick from the fumes coming out of the oil slick.
