I don't have to prove anything to my users. *They* trust my software and most of them are only running Norton because it came with their computers. Unfortunately though it isn't that easy to just tell them to disable their virus scanners, because the next question is "how do I do that" and now I'm spending my morning asking them questions like "what virus scanner" and "what version" and telling them how to go about getting that information. I just tried to play a DVD on this Vista laptop we inherited. Once again, it required a reboot before working. I should have just gone to the other room to get my MacBook but I was lazy. I just can't understand why people keep buying this shitty, shitty operating system over and over again. It's like nobody realizes the user experience has actually gotten worse since Windows 3.1.
