I saw it as different strokes for different folks. There are billions of computers in use across the world and the ratio of knowledgeable user to user is pathetic. This is why there is free anti virus installed on your new computer. The OEMs are trying to help clean up what the dumb people will do before they can even start off wrong. Why is it Norton? Does it really matter? We all agree that something is better then nothing. Many here have a problem with a their data files or form files being incorrectly identified as possible problems, and the constant scanning because the actual file is changing when in use.
