Costs should drop as GM sells more Volts, and should be substantially lower after eight years, Stephens said. He said used batteries can be shipped to GM to be rebuilt to extend their lives. Customers also would have the option of disposing of them, he said. I bid a job for a company that maintains batteries for fork lifts about 4 years ago. They had old dos hardware and their system wouldn't work when based on a new server. Anyway they recycled batteries and that is what will be done with these new cars as well. You will not have to replace one in a car for 10,000. You can do the same for your laptop battery as well. If you were to crack it open you would see a bunch of smaller batteries bound together. -- Stephen Russell Sr. Production Systems Programmer CIMSgts 901.246-0159 cell _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
